In 2012, Lewis Road Creamery was founded on a question that didn’t quite make sense:
How could a country with millions of dairy cows be importing butter?
That question sparked a vision, to create premium New Zealand dairy, made the old-fashioned way

As we grew, so did our ambition, not just to make great dairy, but to have a deeper connection to where it comes from.
That journey led to investment from, and later full acquisition by, Southern Pastures, one of New Zealand’s leading pasture-based dairy farming organisations. This marked a natural evolution for Lewis Road Creamery. From a brand-led dairy business, to one more closely integrated with the farms themselves.
Every product we make is crafted to reflect the quality of New Zealand’s land, and the richness that comes from doing things properly.
CRAFTED ON NEW ZEALAND PASTURES
Across 15 New Zealand farms owned and operated by Southern Pastures. With cows grazing freely on lush pastures year-round, New Zealand's natural environment helps create dairy with exceptional flavour and quality, while supporting a more natural and sustainable farming approach. From pasture to product, every step is carefully overseen with care and transparency.

We believe exceptional dairy comes from doing things properly, with uncompromising quality, premium ingredients, and a passion for great taste. From the quality of our milk to the care taken in every step of production, we focus on delivering rich flavour, creamy texture, and consistently exceptional quality.
Using premium New Zealand milk from pasture-raised cows, we create dairy that is naturally rich, full of vlaour, and made to be enjoyed in every sip and scoop.
